1. Energy-Efficient
A heat pump water heater moves heat from one place to another, similar to the opposite of what a refrigerator does. They use about 60 percent less energy than a standard electric water heater, which translates to a reduced monthly water heating bill. You may also want to check with your local government to see if any incentives are offered due to it being an energy-efficient appliance.
2. Higher Upfront Cost
Compared to conventional storage water heaters, a heat pump water heating system will typically have a higher initial cost. 3. Installation Requirements
